For the first time in their history, Fremantle City FC will compete in the NPL WA Competition next season, gaining promotion after a hard fought, come from behind 3-1 victory over Joondalup United.
Established in 2015 after a merger between Fremantle United Soccer and the East Fremantle Tricolore Soccer Club, Fremantle City pride themselves on unification, and their large fan base and ability to bring 2 Football communities together is evident of this philosophy.
Fremantle City have made rapid growth since their establishment, winning the State League Division 2 Title in 2016, with their key objective being to gain promotion to Western Australia's top competition by 2024, which they have now completed!
While they now play in the big time, Fremantle City pride themselves on their community atmosphere, where anybody regardless of age, gender or ability is welcome. Any volunteers are also welcome, making it the club for everyone! If you reside in the Perth Metropolitan area and are looking to get involved at any sporting club in any sort of capacity, then look no further than Fremantle City!
The rise of this great club is attributed to everybody who has played, coached, volunteered and supported! It was only a matter of time before Fremantle City were going to be promoted to the NPL WA Competition, and the scary fact of this all is that they are still on the rise!
I am predicting big things to happen in the next 5 years for Fremantle City, and I firmly believe that soon enough, we will see them lift the NPL WA Title!
This is a club everybody dreams of being a part of, and I strongly urge anybody looking for a club to jump on the Fremantle City bandwagon today!
